Opening_View - dbAppView_

Event is called by the add_focus method of the component.

Function Opening_View Returns Integer

Description

This event is called by the add_focus method of the component. If the component is already activated, the event will not fire. When the component is closed, the event Closing_View takes place.

The method should be forwarded to the superclass. The predefined code there takes care of any buffer initialization. The property priInitialRowId will get the RowId of the file equal to the main_file of the main_dd of the component.

Return Value

The function can return a true or false value. Default is false. If you augment the routine and return true (failure), the rest of the view initialization does not take place.
